It was May of 2001 we had decided to rescue a dog from Kenton County Kentucky Animal Shelter as a Mother's Day gift. As we walked down through the hallway many different breeds of dogs were jumping up and barking looking for attention. Mommy (Robyn) spotted you before I did but, I think you spotted her first. There you sat right next to the fence gate, quietly looking up with those big beautiful eyes. We got to spend some time with you in a little room while they told us a little about you. You were 7 months old and your little back legs shook, which we thought was you being excited or afraid and they told us that you had been like that since they received you. They called you Jordan. I suggested CJ once we knew we were taking you home with us that same day. You didn't much care for the ride home in the car however, it wasn't long before you loved to go for rides... mostly in my truck ( especially if I was headed to a drive-through where they would give you treats of some sort, like chicken livers at Lee's and McNuggets at McDonald's). And then there were the vacations we drove to... you are a well-traveled boy! You have been more places than some adults!
So many memories over the past 17 years, I think I'll just have to start posting individual ones. But for now I'll wrap this one up knowing that your time here in your Earthly body was good for you and for us. I believe in your ability to come and go across that Rainbow Bridge to visit heaven but, to be with us most of the time. You have always been loved by us & are in our hearts forever.
